My best friend at college (Circa 1987) , bought a pair of tight yellow leggings, with large white spots, from Top Shop.
I bought a pair, exactly the same, because i thought they looked good.
I vaguely recall, wearing them out on a date, and the guy in question saying, ` Nice Leggings` 
Also Ra-Ra skirts, god were they horrible and also tight jeans and stilettos.
At least now, fashion is more comfortable
